Activities for Your Day
It is an important part of life for everyone to keep fit and active, from the very young through to our senior years. We have put together a few suggestions for your daily activities that we think you may enjoy and to keep you fit, well and active.
We have split these into morning, afternoon and relaxing activities:
Morning Activities:
- Stretch and balance sessions: Improve balance and flexibility to help strengthen muscles to help prevent falls from happening.
- Meditating: To help improve memory, focus, sleep, digestion and reduce physical pain.
- Chair yoga: A modified version of yoga for seniors and those with mobility problems to improve stiffness and provide increased flexibility, lengthening muscles and building strength with the simple poses.
- Spiritual Activities: spiritual support is vital for the well-being and is especially important now.
Afternoon Activities:
- Gardening: You can grow a beautiful garden by planting flowers, natural herbs or train a bonsai tree.
- Walking: Taking a nice stroll around you neighbourhood for refreshment.
- Picnics: in the park as a nice get together with friends.
- Kite flying:
- Nature discovering: Taking a closer look at the nature all around us and discovering new areas
Unwinding Activities:
- Reading: Acquire new knowledge or read for enjoyment
- Arts and crafts lessons: Pick up a new skill and or hobby by trying out various arts and crafts such as sketching, water colouring, or oil painting.
- Knitting: Learning to knit is a very engage and consuming craft making all types of knitwear.
- Board games or card games: Test your skills with a variety of board games challenging others and yourself as well as stimulating the mind.
- Bingo: Play a fun round of bingo for fun or prizes with an engaging group of people.
- Movie and popcorn: Making movie day an event with popcorn and other refreshments and maybe choose a theme to go along with the movie.
